LISA ROSE JAZZ
|

|
Lisa Rose and her local Columbia jazz band are passionate,
talented and energetic; who love to perform and
it shows!
Lisa and the band also work in a variety of arrangements
such as duos, trios, no drummer, two drummers, etc.,
but one thing is guaranteed. The music will always be
excellent.
Our primary interest is in jazz standards. We also
branch out, incorporating Brazilian and Cuban rhythms
and other styles of jazz (swing, ballads, blues, bossa
nova, be-bop)
|
Most recently, Lisa and a guitarist appear every
Tues and Saturday from 7 pm to 9 pm at Mackenzie's Restaurant
at 907 RainForest Parkway off of Rangeline.
Lisa recently produced a CD and is very delighted
to offer this disc as an additional way to enjoy our
music. For an unforgettable occasion, try Lisa Rose
Jazz!

AUDRA SERGEL AND JASON DUGGER, CABARET DUO:
Jennings Brewster (actor, accordion virtuoso), whose
name shall always appear first due to alphabetical complications,
and Lady Eleanor Trantham (actress, accompanist, dish
de jour) have been entertaining and traveling together
for nearly 30 years. They started their stint in show
biz with a traveling theater group called "Shakin'
Not Stirred," a subsidiary of the "Big Muddy
Opera Company." Their first show, "I'm Not
Gay, but my Girlfriend Is," wasn't received as
well as they had hoped, but their sequel, "Magna
Carta, Smagma Carta," launched them into Europe's
eye(s.) (You never know who is going to be missing an
eye these days.) Their extensive bios cannot be possibly
be listed on just one page, but for more information,
please ask them. They are always pleased to talk about
themselves. This show was inspired by the couple's last
trip to Germany. Jennings and Lady Eleanor would like
to dedicate this performance to the overworked German
children who sew tags on pillowcases. All proceeds of
this performance will go to buying Band-Aids for their
fingers.

ARTIST Chris Durk was born on October, 29th,
1985 to Kent and Cindy Durk in Chicago Illinois, they
moved to Columbia shortly thereafter. Chris
Durk grew up around artists and musicians his whole
life, so it was easy for him to find inspiration. As
Chris became older he found a deep love and appreciation
for Death Metal / Grindcore music, dark humor, and straight
black coffee. The madness still ensues to this day.

ELIZABETH GRAMITH was born to missionary parents
in the Himalayan mountains bordering Nepal and India
and growing up in East Africa. Different cultures, languages
and life styles have been a defining influence on my
life. At the age of ten, after completing a detailed
sketch of a bullfight in church my mother bought me
some oil paints. My first painting, a lion at Mt. Kilamingaro
[oil on masonite board] won an art contest in Car-Es-Salam,
East Africa. Art quickly became my favorite subject
which I took at every opportunity. After graduating
from high school I received scholarships for art and
nursing. I went on to study anesthesia and now work
as a C.R.N.A. at Boone Hospital. It was my good fortune
to have three children and marry
|
| Steve Gramith a skilled
rancher. My life is full as an avid painter, potter,
sculptor, owner and breeder of fox trotting horses and
Fleckvieh Simmental cattle. Art remains my passion,
and the subject matter remains eclectic - reflecting
my love for the creator and what he has created.
