Moulin Musique was born as the brainchild
of David A. White, III, Director of the Missouri Theatre, and Sutu Forté, virtuoso
pianist/teacher/composer & performer extraordinaire. Necessity was the
mother of brilliant invention, as White and Forté saw a need for an audience-
and performer-friendly venue for local musicians, artists, storytellers, dancers,
who otherwise have to compete with distractions inherent to bars and cafes.

|
The Missouri Theatre stage is the place performer and audience
comes together to feed off each other's passion for good, original artistry, musical,
and otherwise. What began as more a concert format morphed organically into
an intimate variety showcase, audience and performers together and sharing a
connection in a unique and comfortable way. Eye contact happens, smiles and
giggles break out, it's an act of pure love, and we're all part of the act!

You might not know all the performers' names on the current Moulin
Musique poster, but you can be sure they will all be gettin' your feet tapping,
hands clapping, mind mesmerized by the level of talent and raw energy and spirit
that permeates the stage. The love and passion is visceral, from the first
flicker of the opening lights, to the finale and blackout. You leave, smiling
and uplifted, wondering what marvels and wonders await you at the next Moulin
Musique!
